There are more corona patients in Dutch hospitals on Thursday than exactly a year ago. That is the first time in the current corona wave. There are now a total of 2,110 patients with Covid-19, the disease caused by the corona virus. Last year, on November 18, 2020, there were 2,087.
In the past 24 hours, the number of corona patients increased by 33, according to figures from the National Coordination Center for Patients Spreading (LCPS). There are now 413 corona patients in intensive care, 11 more than a day earlier. The number of corona patients in the nursing wards increased by 22 to 1,697.
In the past 24 hours, 55 new corona patients were admitted to the ICUs, the largest increase since the beginning of May. 237 new patients were brought into the nursing wards.
