The proportion of corona mutations in new infections in Rhineland-Palatinate has increased six-fold within a month. The Ministry of Health announced this to the SWR. But that’s not surprising.
According to the ministry, the proportion of corona mutations in the infection rate is currently estimated at up to 30 percent. About a month ago, it was assumed that around five percent of corona infections are due to mutations.
However, the ministry announced at the time that it was assuming an increasing quota. So far there have been more than 1,400 cases across the country. Including proven mutations and suspected cases for which final evidence is still pending, but is likely according to the ministry.
