More cases of coronavirus in NBA teams

In the National Basketball Association (NBA), the number of coronavirus cases is increasing. The Philadelphia 76ers made three positive tests public in their club on Thursday. The team did not reveal whether it was basketball players, coaches or other employees.

The Boston Celtics later announced that one of their players had tested positive for the Sars-CoV-2 virus. The Celtics did not give a name. Two Los Angeles Lakers players have also tested positive for the corona virus. The club says they were put under quarantine under the care of the club’s doctors, without mentioning the names of the two infected players.

The Lakers said the athletes had been tested on March 10, following a recommendation from health officials for a game against the Brooklyn Nets. Infection has been identified in four Nets players since then. So far, at least eight coronavirus professionals tested positive in the NBA, including superstar Kevin Durant from Brooklyn Nets. The first player to test positive was Frenchman Rudy Gobert of Utah Jazz. As a result, the season had been interrupted indefinitely in the past week.
