Sweden, Denmark and Norway have announced that they will not renew immunization against COVID-19 with the preparation of the British-Swedish company AstraZeneca, as they are conducting independent investigations into cases of thrombosis during vaccinations.

In Norway, three healthcare workers under the age of 50 were admitted with large blood clots after being vaccinated with AstraZeneca. The hypothesis that the scientists in Oslo are working on is that the vaccine produced an immune reaction that led to a combination of blood clots and low platelet counts. Other European countries that had stopped immunizing with AstraZeneca are resuming vaccination today.
