New Pokémon Snap will soon receive a free update with a slew of new content, and it fits nicely into the ranks of Nintendo Switch games that have been expanded since launch.
The new update will be released next week, August 3, and offers a number of new areas to explore and as many as 20 new Pokémon.
Players will have a total of three new itineraries to embark on, including a round down a rapids in the jungle and a longer sequence where you shrink and get to see the pocket monsters from completely new angles.
Among the selected monsters that appear in the expansion, we find favorites such as Psyduck and Snorlax, but also a little more obscure rarings in the form of Swalot and Shroomish.
We were among the many who enjoyed New Pokémon Snap when it was launched earlier this year, and our reviewer had a lot of positive things to report:
– All in all, New Pokémon Snap is a colorful and charming adventure. It is enjoyable to see these monsters in their natural habitat – without the usual fuss about capture and fighting, wrote Øyvind Steinkopf Sund.
