Outbreaks at the Waldorf school in Freiburg and in a nursing home in Waldkirch: Corona mutations are spreading rapidly in southern Baden, even if the number of cases is currently falling overall.
A corona outbreak in Freiburg is making waves: As the city’s health department reports, five people at the Waldorf school in the Wiehre district have been infected with the corona virus, and another five cases have been found among contact persons. In eight of the infected, variant B.1.1.7. was found, which was first detected in September 2020 in southern England and is therefore also called the British variant. A specific virus variant is still pending in two tests.
