Determining whether someone has Covid-19 for the second time requires a genetic profile of the virus that the person is infected with. This must then be compared with the profile of the virus that caused the first infection.
The problem is: this genetic research was not done that often during the first wave, and the samples that were taken at the time have not always been preserved. However, according to scientists, it can still be said that second infections are no exception.
