Inter Milan is being associated with Lionel Messi recently. Former Inter President Massimo Moratti believes the current club owner can afford Messi.
Rumors of Messi about Inter have been rolling recently following his contract that has never been renewed Barcelona. The Argentine star’s contract will expire in June 2021.
A number of problems in Barcelona’s body further heated up these rumors. Messi has highlighted the club’s policies several times this season.
The 33-year-old player had an argument with Barcelona’s Sports Director Eric Abidal, then with Coach Quique Setien. He also criticized management for a number of things, one of which was about cutting wages, and indicated dissatisfaction with transfers.
But bringing in Messi is also not an easy matter for Inter, even if the opportunity is open. Because he is one of the highest paid players in the world: his net salary is reportedly up to 565 thousand euros per week.
But former Inter President Massimo Moratti thinks Inter, with the full support of the owner, namely Suning Holdings Group, is able to make the transfer happen.
“I’m just a fan and I don’t have any secret news. But I do know one thing: when it comes to resources and abilities, Suning has what it takes to bring the Argentine to Milan,” Moratti told reporters. Tuttomercatoweb, as quoted Football Italia.
Messi recently reportedly bought an apartment in the city of Milan. His father, Jorge Messi, had already bought a house in the city.
Barcelona’s 2-8 defeat of Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final match at Estadio Da Luz, Saturday (15/8/2020) early in the morning WIB, this might further strengthen rumors of Messi’s move.
