The accident occurred at the intersection of Rijksweg (N36) and Despite Street, approximately at the Den Ast snack bar. A 68-year-old driver from Roeselare was driving on Rijksweg and wanted to turn right on Despite Street in the direction of Lendelede. This resulted in a collision with the driver of the moped. She was taken by ambulance to Izegem’s Sint-Jozefskliniek.
