In Tullnerbach (district of St. Pölten Land) there was an accident involving a young scooter driver. He was taken to St. Pölten University Hospital with injuries.
TULLNERBACH. A 17-year-old youth drove around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a moped on the federal highway 44, coming from Purkersdorf in the direction of Pressbaum, through the local area of Tullnerbach. At the height of the main road 54, the 17-year-old is likely to have left the road on the right for an unknown reason and collided with the street lamp there.
Cyclist was taken to the University Hospital
The driver suffered injuries of an unspecified degree in the traffic accident and had to be taken to the University Hospital St. Pölten by the rescue service.
An alcohol test carried out in the 17-year-old adolescent gave a result of 1.08 per mil. He was reported to the St. Pölten district authority. Accidents involving mopeds are often fatal. Alcohol significantly increases the risk of accidents.
