Moon Knight is coming soon to Disney+ and we already know that the action won’t take place in New York. A notable choice by Marvel studios that we explain to you in detail.
Moon Knight is already shaping up to be a new page in the Marvel universe. With its much darker universe and its tortured hero, the series is already generating a lot of comments and expectations. Oscar Isaac seems perfect for the role of Marc Spector. The parallel with DC Comics’ Tormented Batman is obviously unavoidable. Moon Knight should however find its own rhythm and identity within the MCU. For this in particular, Marvel studios have chosen not to place the action in New York. The adventures of Moon Knight will therefore be international and with a notable change compared to previous superhero films.
Moon Knight will set the story of its hero at London. A real change of scenery when you know that twelve films or series from the Marvel universe have already taken place in New York. Among these, there are certainly all the films Avengers but also, the most recent series Hawkeyesor The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. A concentration of superheroes per square meter that pushed the studios to change horizons. Moon Knight will thus trace its own path far from the classic American decorations. A way for the series to assert itself and stand out. One more step in singularity for the Knight of the Moon.

Moon Knight taking place in England, Oscar Isaac is already working on his English accent. The actor reveals that he was inspired by the British actor Peter Sellers but also other influences to find his interpretation of the role. Of course nothing says that Moon Knight will not one day visit New York. He will have for his debut a lot to do in the streets of London, whose atmosphere should really stick to the atmosphere of the series. Let’s not forget also that he is not so alone in the English capital. Dane Whiteman (Kit Harrington) or Blade are not far away. Their presence, confirmed in Eternals, therefore leaves the door open to interesting cross-overs. This is just the beginning !
