Mooi Wark and The Dutch Boys enter the studio together: ‘It’s going to be a big party’

A new collaboration in the music world of Drenthe is coming. Mooi Wark and The Dutch Boys enter the studio together. Mooi Wark bassist William Bossong announced this afternoon on Radio Drenthe.

“It was a special week, we are now on our way to Brabant. We have Henri, the son of Boer Harms from The Dutch Boys,” says Bossong. “We talked last week about how special Henk’s father is [de Roo, red.] Despite his illness, he sang at the Mega Pirate Festijn in Klazienaveen.”

At the beginning of October, The Dutch Boys announced that ‘Boer Harms’ is suffering from esophageal cancer. In a short time Zwartemeer De Roo started treatment against the disease. Last Saturday the band went on stage at Mega Pirate Festijn in Klazienaveen, with singer De Roo. Mooi Wark was also present at the music festival.

After the music festival, the two Drenthe bands decided to talk to each other this week. Bossong: “We are going to collaborate. So The Dutch Boys appears Good love.”

And that collaboration began immediately. Last Wednesday the men were already in the practice room together. According to Bossong, it is a dream. “We always had plans to do something together, but that never came to fruition. Last week at Mega Pirate Festijn we said it had to happen now. The collaboration is a reality.”

Both bands will enter the recording studio next week. “We are trying to record the voices within two weeks. Also with a view to Henk’s treatment process. It must be done at the end of November. We are going to do this in a good way nice. It will be a big party.

Bossong could not yet say when the album will finally be released.
