Monza: Confcommercio opens facilities for the disabled and private clinics to rsa

It is called the Lombard Department of Health, Health and Care and is the new reality created by Confcommercio of Milan and Monza to open up to health facilities: such as rsa for the elderly, facilities for the disabled and private clinics.

The Lombard Department of Health, Health and Care is born within the Confcommercio Milan, Lodi, Monza and Brianza: it is a new reality of associations designed to represent and protect companies operating in the socio-health sector (residences for the elderly, private, facilities for the disabled), capable “of acting as a qualified interlocutor to create greater synergy between operators, institutions and citizens”. This was announced by Confcommercio itself, the body representing trade, tourism and service activities.

“Lombardy is the most densely populated region of the country with over 10 million inhabitants and has always been – says the head of the department Paolo Uniti – a reference point, in Italy and beyond, for the articulated and qualified offer, public and private sector, in the health and social welfare sectors on which attention is now even greater for the Covid health emergency. Among the priority missions that the new department sets itself is certainly that of improving and increasingly qualifying the regional ‘long term care’ system, also in consideration of the constant aging of the population “.

The fundamental data is statistical: that by 2040 in Lombardy over 3.5 million over-65s and 600,000 over 85 will live in Lombardy. “For this reason – adds the national president of Confcommercio Salute, Luca Pallavicini – the companies that make up the Lombardy’s socio-health system must be able to offer new flexibility by renewing services and services where necessary. And maintaining, at the same time, high quality standards that have always distinguished the regional public-private synergistic system ».
