MONZA (ITALPRESS) – Even if there is still no official confirmation and all 700 seats in Monza and Brianza have not yet been counted, it now seems established that the centre-right candidate Adriano Galliani has won the seat in the Senate that belonged to Silvio Berlusconi. In fact, the main challenger, Marco Cappato, supported by the centre-left, is too distant. While the former AC Milan CEO still did not want to comment on the victory, satisfaction came from the leading exponents of the centre-right. Among the first, Fabrizio Cecchetti, regional coordinator of the Northern League Salvini Premier Lombardy who commented: “The victory in the by-elections in the Senate of Monza, won by Senator Adriano Galliani, represents an excellent result for the centre-right and a success also for the League who made a fundamental contribution, supporting Galliani’s candidacy with facts, with the presence of the deputy prime minister and minister Matteo Salvini in the Brianza area twice and with an entire weekend of information stands throughout the Brianza area. This success is also a reward for the good work done by the Government, work that is particularly appreciated in an area historically devoted to productive activities, one of the areas that produces one of the highest GDPs in Italy”.
