According to Wojnarowski’s report, Williams had two more years left on a five-year deal and will now be extended for “several” more seasons. The deal marks the latest in a series of moves to keep the core of the Suns, including extensions for Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton.

Monty Williams, reigning NBA Coach of the Year, led the Suns to the best record in team history at 64-18 last season. While they fired up in the second round against Dallas, he put up an impressive follow-up to their Finals appearance in 2021.
The 50-year-old Williams boasts a 149-78 record in three seasons with the Suns, including back-to-back playoff appearances to break a 10-year postseason drought for the franchise.
His career mark is 322-299 with five previous seasons in New Orleans.
