Sir Michael Palin, the Monty Python star, has recently announced the passing of his wife of 57 years, Helen Palin. The TV veteran and actor shared on his website that his wife had been facing chronic pain and kidney failure. The couple, who met during their teenage years on holiday in Southwold, Suffolk, has been fictionalized in the 1987 TV drama named “East of Ipswich”. Palin has called his wife the “bedrock of my life”, and their family has asked for privacy during this time. The couple has shared three children and four grandchildren, and Palin’s wife had peacefully passed away earlier this week due to the complications she was facing. Palin has become a household name for his BBC travel programs, which have taken him all over the world, including the Himalayas and North Korea.
