Located northeast of Montpellier, Castelnau-le-Lez is home to nearly 23,500 inhabitants, 21% of whom are between 15 and 29 years old. Nearly half of the population is made up of young workers such as executives (15%) and other students, 23% with a higher education diploma of bac +5 level or more. Couples, with or without children, represent two-thirds of households. The Castelnauvian housing stock is mainly made up of apartments (56%), the share of which has increased by almost 30% since 2008. The owner/tenant ratio is around 50-50, but here again, the share of tenants has sharply increased since 2008 when they represented only 26%. We can therefore say that the rental market is tense there, which is good news for future investors.
