The Plein Center Committee, which has just elected a new office, is committed to revitalizing the city center of Montpellier.
The General Assembly of the Comité Plein Center association was held on March 22, under the chairmanship of Jean Lambert Gaillard. Beyond the administrative dimension, the event made it possible to elect a new board unanimously.
On stand-by since May 2019, The General Assembly validated the changes in status and the new office of the association which brings together independent traders from downtown Montpellier.
If in recent years the CCI Hérault, had taken the initiative to take the association under its wing in order to bring with other partners large-scale events such as participation in Christmas illuminations, Cœur de Ville en Lumières, the various clearings, the association now benefits an office to carry these projects.
“The Chamber of Commerce will always be there to help the Plein Center Committee in its development. and its animations. Today the President has full power to do good things and we will continue to be facilitators ”, explains André Deljarry, President of the CCI Hérault.
The Plein Center Committee has set itself several objectives to revitalize the city center of Montpellier.
The first consists of supporting the relaunch of commercial activity in the city center of Montpellier., the second to coordinate the expectations of downtown merchants, the third to carry out structuring actions to boost commercial activity and the fourth to carry out and manage joint events. If the association does not aim to be a federation of associations, it does however want to be a place of exchange and coordination of traders.
Jean-Lambert Gaillard, new President, now wishes to be a force for proposals, “We will be working over the next few weeks to bring out projects. There are recurring ones already in place that we are going to study in more depth, but we have to find new areas to rebound our commercial activity ”.
