Montpellier: the I love techno festival postponed to spring due to health emergency

Nearly 9,000 people were expected at the Pérols exhibition center (Hérault) on December 11.

The fifth wave of Covid got the better of the I love techno Europe festival which was to take place on December 11 at the Pérols exhibition center (Hérault).

Meetings took place in the prefecture on Wednesday and this Thursday, December 2 in the evening. The organization has decided to “postpone the event until spring” in the words of Armel Campagna, director of Live Nation France which produces the event.

In question: the outbreak of the epidemic in the department, the incidence rate and the occupancy rate of intensive care beds in hospitals.

A postponement in April

Nearly 9,000 people were expected at the exhibition center. “It’s very hard but in the general interest, circumstances require us to make this decision” reacts the organization. The evenings of Friday 10 at the Opéra Comédie and December 12 at Tropisme are also postponed. The event should therefore take place on April 9: “Tickets remain valid”.
