The Montpellier real estate developer Batih, which exhibited for the first time at Simi in Paris, will launch in spring 2024 a 3,420 m² real estate project in Bernis, southwest of Nîmes, in the Gard. “This involves the construction of a building on a former wasteland of 5,981 m² on which vehicles were stored,” Batih indicates to Echos. Designed by architect Denis Fernandez (EXO7, Montpellier), the investment amounts to 5 million euros. Delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. “For construction, local companies will be given priority,” says Batih.
This new building will offer local craftsmen and SMEs 18 modular business premises from 100 m². “The wasteland is currently not landscaped. Around thirty tall trees will be planted along the avenue to ensure the continuity of the existing plane trees at the entrance to the town, on the RN113,” explains the real estate developer. In addition, the entire roof will be equipped with solar panels, producing the energy equivalent of 175 homes. Also, “all parking spaces can be equipped with terminals for electric vehicles,” assures Batih. Finally, the hydraulic design and the permeable coating with water retention zones were planned in order to preserve the hydraulic transparency of the sector.
