On September 29, the prefect of Hérault tweeted about “foreign homeless people” saying that “they were not welcome”, before canceling its publication. New sled for a decidedly good prefect on the right

We are starting to get used to the exits of the right-handed prefect of Hérault Hugues Moutouh (read our portrait here): last June he called the homeless “zadistas” asking for more police to clean up the city.

So on 29 September he did it again: in response to an article in Midi Libre, he posted a Tweet in which he denounced “the delinquency of foreign homeless people”, targeting “Algerians and Moroccans in the majority”, before adding “The CRS has instructions not to drop them. They are not welcome. ”

Two hours later, the post is deleted. But very quickly the content goes viral and everyone has their own comment: NUPES deputy Nathalie Oziol immediately talks about the “darmanization” of the prefect, while, not surprisingly, Eric Zemmour congratulates him : “Congratulations to the prefect of Hérault who told the truth, before canceling its publication. No doubt the truth scares his hierarchy.

Hunt for foreigners and the far right of the state

Since his arrival in July 2021, Hugues Moutouh has continued to wage war on foreigners. Last fall he had three slums evacuated, then an Albanian family, despite the relocation planned by the town hall. During the Africa-France summit last October, he had undocumented activists who had come to demonstrate in opposition to the event arrested at the station.

Pinned recently for his participation in a mass in the company of Robert Ménard at the Béziers feria, the prefect of Hérault therefore continues to show his far-right view of his functions.
