Initiated by the City of Montpellier in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry -CCI- of Hérault, as well as associations of downtown merchants, the traditional and expected Grand Bazaar will begin this Wednesday, June 2, to continue until Saturday inclusive.
400 stalls
The historic heart welcomes, in a friendly and festive atmosphere, the large clearance sale of traders with nearly 400 stalls offered by around ten partner associations. This meeting allows, twice a year, to stroll in search of the rare pearl, to do good business, to meet the traders and craftsmen of the Ecusson, also to infuse a vitalizing energy in streets and alleys.
Transport and parking facilities
Since September 2020, Montpellier Mediterranée Métropole has set up free buses and trams for residents. In order to allow as many people as possible to access the city center more easily, the “Parking vouchers” operation, initiated by the City of Montpellier in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hérault, is carried over to traders and artisans approaching the macaroon. They will thus be able to offer their customers reduced parking rates.
This operation allows reduce the cost of parking in eleven car parks (Arceaux, Arc de Triomphe, Comédie, Corum, Europa, Foch Prefecture, Gambetta, Golden Number, Pitot, Polygon, Triangle). With a value of € 1, the parking voucher is given to each customer, on request, when paying for purchases. It is possible to accumulate up to three checks per parking lot to be deducted from the sum to be paid. At the same time, Effia is offering a 30% reduction in its Foch and Arc de Triomphe car parks on presentation of proof of purchase of at least € 30 from a merchant (cannot be combined with parking vouchers). In short, a big, but nice bazaar in the city center for four days.
> Due to current health constraints, no entertainment will be organized.
