Three years after the implementation of the reform of the decriminalization of on-street parking, the City of Montpellier I verified that the name of Post-Parking Package issued was increasing. The pricing structure current is therefore not enough of an incentive and does not lead to changes in behavior, allowing public space to be shared for the benefit of all users.
Thus, during the municipal council of February 8, was decided the abolition of the reduced Post-Parking Package (payment within 4 days). This measure will take effect on Monday March 15 and controls will be gradually reinforced. This has no impact for users in good standing, it only concerns people who have exceeded the parking time or have not paid for it.

Concretely, the amounts of the post-parking package will now be € 17 in the green zone (long duration limited to 9 hours) and € 33 for the orange zones (average duration limited to 7 hours) and yellow (short duration limited to 5 hours). hours).

More PV on the windshields
It is important to note that as of April 15, 2021, there will no longer be an information notice affixed to the windshields of vehicles. The notice indicating the terms of payment will be sent directly by the National Agency for the Automated Treatment of Infractions (ANTAI) by mail, to the address appearing on the vehicle registration document of the motorist.
The amounts linked to the FPS paid by users are donated by the city of Montpellier to Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole and allocated to carrying out operations intended to improve public transport or respect the environment and traffic.
