While she was on a car park in the Celleneuve-Alco district, rue Favre de Saint-Castor, the plainclothes constable doused herself with gasoline and set her clothes on fire with a lighter. Witnesses quickly intervened to help the captain of the gendarmerie. In particular, they made use of a fire extinguisher.
