Montpelier. A man violently assaulted for a parking space

A 22-year-old Montpellier resident and his 20-year-old sister are being prosecuted on suspicion of having assaulted, in a meeting and with a weapon, the director of the Intermarché on rue François-Coulet, on June 3 and 14, 2022. According to Free lunch, a parking dispute would be the cause of this intentional violence. The two respondents should be presented this Monday, June 20 before the Montpellier court, as part of an immediate appearance.

Threatened and insulted on the phone

On June 3, the victim was near his store when he noticed that a parked car was blocking the entrance to the reserve. She then left her phone number on the windshield of the vehicle, behind which he parked his delivery truck.

According to our colleagues, the director of the Intermarché would then have received a phone call from the owner of the annoying car, who would have insulted him and threatened to break his truck if he did not come immediately.

A released person

On the spot, the victim would have been taken to task by the young woman and her father. While the director had taken refuge in the truck, a brother of the young woman would have beaten him violently. A fight broke out between the two men. It was then that a new individual allegedly hit the victim several times behind the head. The alleged attackers then left, leaving the injured man.

A few days later, on June 14, the store manager again had to deal with two individuals who sprayed him with a tear gas canister while threatening to kill him with a machete. According to Free lunch, the victim escaped with a large wound on his hand. She managed to escape. That same evening, she filed a complaint. The director of Intermarché was able to identify the brother and sister but not the third person, who was released.
