Montlucon. Mobilization against the Macron reform of professional institutes

Teachers and parents of students demonstrated in front of the Paul-Constans high school in Montluçon against the vocational high school reform project on Thursday 17 November. They protest against the doubling of training hours (internships) to the detriment of teaching hours.

This is the second time they meet to protest this reform project.

A project that does not respect the reality of professional life

For teachers, both unionized and non-unionized, the project runs counter to job markets that require skilled staff.

“Young people give their time to the company, we are not against internship hours but we must not remove the training aspect, they learn professional technical gestures in high school which will be useful to them in the professional environment. At the beginning of the 2023 school year, there will be a doubling of internship times, for high school staff this means a reduction in lesson hours and therefore job cuts for teachers. In January 2023, high schools will rush, some will be the pilots of this reform, it is terrible but we will not stop here, we will see the administrative boards of high schools. confides Florine Lazzaro representative of SNES-FSU for the Paul Constans high school.
