Joint initiative of Montluçon habitat and the company Sapian, specialized in pest control and mandated by the social landlord to intervene. Representatives of the latter therefore came to explain the techniques implemented to fight against the cockroaches which pollute the daily lives of certain local residents. 3 to 5% of housing in Montluçon habitat is now infested.
Among these, Yvette’s apartment in La Verrerie has already been affected.
The subject is taken very seriously by the social landlord. He therefore called on this specialized company to carry out 3 pest control campaigns per year. “Complete eradication is not possible,” explained the Sapian representative yesterday.
Denis Chabroux also encouraged tenants to let the company intervene, while giving simple advice to guard against the appearance of these troublesome tenants.
This phenomenon is not new, but it is increasingly difficult to fight against, this pest control specialist explained yesterday.
Please note that this company has also intervened around fifteen times since the start of the year in the social housing stock for problems linked to bedbugs.
