Language courses for Ukrainian refugees: Montlinger association collects money for German lessons

Refugees from the Ukraine entertained their Swiss guests at a charity event with entertainment. The Montlingen association Shelter was responsible for this.

The integration allowance that each individual refugee receives from the federal government each month is CHF 250. “Unfortunately, this money is not enough to finance the intensive courses,” says Martin Tschirren, from the Shelter association in Montlingen, which has been helping refugees from Ukraine since the outbreak of war. For a three-month language course with 18 lessons per week, CHF 5,000 is missing to be able to cover all expenses for teaching material, room rental and teachers.
