Monterrey will open the Galería Plaza hotel in a few days

Preferred Hotels & Resorts, one of the leading independent hotel brands, has announced the expansion of its alliance with Grupo Brisas under a new agreement that will open its doors to the Galería Plaza Monterrey hotel in January 2023 in the city of Monterrey.

Thanks to this partnership, Grupo Brisas hotels receive strategic sales and distribution services through worldwide reservation systems and access to a network of sales offices in 35 countries. They will also have participation in I Prefer, the independent hotel loyalty program and a marketing ecosystem that gives them visibility in key global markets.

“Preferred’s global reach enables independent Mexican hotels and regional groups such as Grupo Brisas, Hoteles Xcaret and Grupo Posadas to increase their global competitiveness and maintain their 100% Mexican identity,” the company said in a statement.

Galería Plaza Monterrey is a hotel that will offer 196 luxury rooms, 6 lofts and 2 master suites. It will also house a pool and salon, fire pit, full-service spa, and state-of-the-art fitness center. It will offer 2 restaurants with local and international cuisine under the direction of Executive Chef Guy Santoro.

Grupo Brisas is a 100% Mexican company, founded in 2001, which has 3 flagship brands: NIZUC Resort & Spa of 5-star hotels; Las Brisas, aimed at the leisure segment and groups; and Galería Plaza, aimed at business travelers and groups. The Galería Plaza Monterrey hotel will be the fifth property of the brand and the eleventh property of Grupo Brisas to join the Preferred Hotels & Resorts collection.
