Montceau-les-mines will participate in the 2024 Telethon and will follow the change of date decided at the national level due to the inauguration of Notre Dame on the first weekend of December, the historic and usual date of the Telethon.
The 2024 Telethon organized by the city in partnership with the Conseil des Sages, the ABS and several Montcellian associations will offer a sporting, festive and supportive weekend.
In fact, this new date coincides with the city’s CASC Christmas market. The various Telethon activities will take place around the Pier in order to fully experience the two events.
It will be possible to participate in the various activities and meet the participating associations in the Telethon village and to decline the proposed program:
**Friday November 29: from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
→ at the Telethon village; near the pier
→ food and drink stands. The Conseil des Sages will offer a delicious meal with diots and crozets for only €5. A good way to eat while supporting a great cause!
→ races for all organized by the Conseil des Sages and Athlé Bourgogne Sud. The price to participate in these races is 2 euros.
-7:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.: a festive 800-meter loop around the Pier under the theme of flashy colors (dress up!)
-8:00 p.m.: 6km timed race open to all sports and challenge enthusiasts.
→ sports activities: 3X3 basketball tournament, dance, golf, boccia, remote-controlled cars, etc.
→ a spectacular BMX flatlan show: with Joris Bretagnolles who is in the Top 10 in the world in BMX freestyle Flatlan
→ the CASC Christmas market inside the Embarcadère: 50 artisan, designer and merchant stands.
The Telethon in Montceau will also include other events throughout the week:
→ clothing collection until November 27.
→ lotto of the Amicale des Festivities du Bois du Verne on Wednesday November 27 at 4:00 p.m. in the Bois du Verne village hall.
→ Friday November 29 :
– “24 hours of swimming” challenge, Montceau Olympic Natation invites you to a swimming relay, from Friday 7:00 p.m. until Saturday 7:00 p.m. with the participation of 3 world champions!
-bridge tournament at the Lande association center.
– “Caddithon”, all-day fundraising at the Intermarché de SaintVallier by the Lions Club.
→ Saturday November 30:
-martial arts course with the Arts Martiaux Combat association from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Le Pouloux.
-collection of donations: during aquagym, gentle aquagym and fitness sessions at the nautical center.
-Karaoke musical entertainment, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the town hall square kiosk.
-collection of donations by the GRS during its activities.
