Montbéliard. Covid-19: the unvaccinated staff of the Nord Franche-Comté Hospital will ultimately not be made redundant in a few days

The affair had caused a stir throughout the hospital world, and even beyond. Last week, we revealed that Pascal Mathis, the director of the Nord Franche-Comté Hospital located in Trévenans, had sent a letter as a final warning to the tiny part of the staff still unvaccinated: for lack of a first dose before December 15, 2021, the last refractory would be dismissed for “abandonment of post”.

“Get out of this inextricable situation”

“My first wish is that these staff come back to work”, he confided to us. “But if this is not the case, my goal is to replace it for the proper functioning of services, whether at the level of care or the administrative part”. The unions were moved by this threat which passed, this Thursday morning, from life to death.

In a press release, the hospital management indicates that “the triggering of the white plan […] as well as the strong tensions on the workforce demand that the social climate of the establishment be as serene as possible. Consequently, no action will be taken on formal notice sent to staff who are still suspended. These will therefore be canceled ”.

The agents concerned will be received by the director general, in order to consider “all the means which will enable them to get out of this inextricable situation, while respecting the vaccination obligation”. Remember that since September 15, they can no longer come to work and are therefore not remunerated.
