For two weeks, the Sapiacans have not had collective training. They could resume this Tuesday if the PCR tests carried out yesterday come back negative. In the meantime the club has taken action for the next matches.
What will Montalbanais week be made of. Rugby or rest at home? We will know more this morning with the first returns of the Covid samples taken yesterday morning. If they are negative we can again talk about rugby on the side of Sapiac and consider the trip to Perpignan (read opposite) more calmly even if sportingly, let’s face it, it could be very complicated in the face of a blood training and gold in full wad. But, at least, the match will have been played, some will say; if they are negative the situation will probably become impossible to manage. In the meantime, at the club, we manage current affairs taking into account all the measures that have just been announced, both at national and local level. If the use of changing rooms does not pose any problem (professional sport), the gauge for welcoming the public has increased to 1000 spectators maximum. This has led the club to take new measures: “The USM is setting up a unique system so that Sapiac remains YOUR stadium despite the constraints that are put in place. Thus, the club and its management have decided to favor two bodies essential to the life of the club which have always been present in the good times as the bad times: our partners as well as our subscribers. As a result, no more tickets will be put on sale until the ceiling of this gauge is increased . We have also decided to give a boost to our associations to support, by favoring them in this difficult period. However, 1000 places is too little for all of our subscribers and partners. That’s why that an exceptional system will be put in place for this troubled period until the end of this gauge. Subscribers who can access the stadium on match day have been selected in the most objective way possible, that is to say say in alphabetical order tick of our subscribers, supporters’ Club members and Ultras Sapiac. The list of 2020/2021 subscribers who can access the stadium during the next two Pro D2 matches against Soyaux-Angoulème on October 30 (7 p.m.) and against Nevers on November 6 (7 p.m.) has therefore been specified to those concerned. Finally, in order to facilitate entry and organization, subscriber cards will not give the right to enter the stadium. Everyone must come and collect their match ticket at the stadium in order to be able to attend the match that concerns them. The ticket will be delivered on presentation of the subscriber card “.
In Perpignan on Friday
At first, it was on a Thursday that the League had scheduled the trip of the Sapiacans to the Aimé-Giral stadium. An instance which has just announced that the Biarritz-Colomiers match planned… this Thursday was postponed due to the case of Covid in the BO and replaced by the Mont de Marsan-Nevers match. What about Perpignan-Montauban then? It was finally moved to this Friday (7 p.m.). “Montauban being a club under alert in which there had been cases of Covid-19, a reprogramming 24 hours later of the match allows to give more chances that the match can go well during this day of the championship, according to the latest results of tests which will be carried out at the beginning of the week “explained the League yesterday. However, still no news about the postponements of the two late matches, namely the trip to Valence-Romans and the reception of Provence rugby.
