The dismantling of a nationwide prostitution network stems from information gathered by a police officer from the Montauban police station.
It is an unprecedented affair of exceptional magnitude that we revealed in our edition of Saturday, June 19. A police investigation, part of Montauban, which made it possible to dismantle a Chinese prostitution network, which was accompanied by “assistance with illegal stay, aggravated pimping, human trafficking and money laundering in an organized gang”. Seven accused were presented to a magistrate of the JIRS of Bordeaux and indicted. Four of the apartment owners (including two Montalbanais) were placed under judicial supervision while the main alleged organizers were remanded in custody.
The case therefore started from the city of Ingres. In January 2020, a Montauban police officer received anonymous information on back and forth trips, to say the least, repeated in an apartment located in downtown Montauban. Immediately, the mechanisms of a meticulous investigation are put in place: telephone tapping, physical surveillance … Very quickly, the police obtain confirmation that the prostitution activity is of the sustained type …
700,000 euros raised
Two apartments, located in the city center, are targeted. Two girls, adults, devote themselves to their particular activities. The investigation will show that the price of the “pass”, as they say in the garden, was negotiated between 60 and 130 depending on the level of the service …
And last June 15, the Toulouse Border Police (PAF), the Montauban Police Station, the Toulouse GIR and OCRIEST proceeded with the dismantling of an alleged Chinese aid to irregular stay, aggravated pimping, human trafficking and organized gang money laundering.
In total, 13 targeted objectives were addressed at 11 different sites in the Paris region and in the center, south-east and south-west of France. Among them were 5 French and 8 Chinese nationals, suspected of being involved in the organization of an illegal immigration network allowing, via a “specialized” website, the exploitation of Chinese prostitutes, practically all in a situation. irregular, in “Airbnb” apartments rented in medium-sized provincial towns.
It was materialized that two Chinese sisters and the French husband of one of them supervised the operation of the network. The prostitutes, practically all in an irregular situation, were recruited from the Chinese Parisian community, registered on a “specialized” website, then sent for three weeks to medium-sized provincial towns where they received clients in apartments rented on “Airbnb”. All the prostitution activity was managed remotely by the trio which ensured the distribution of the advertisements on the site, the connection with the customers, the recovery of the generated earnings and the rentals of apartments to owners who rented their homes knowingly. of cause. We thus found ten thousand euros at one of them. It was thus highlighted the exploitation of 13 prostitutes over 2 years for earnings estimated at 700,000 euros per year. A real business that has suffered a serious setback.
