Montauban. “So, tell me !” : the 25th edition already promises

The inaugural evening of the 25th festival “Alors… Raconte!” took place at the Olympe de Gouges theater.

This month of speech celebrations takes place throughout the department until February 8. Guy Astoul, president, thanked all the local authorities which financially support this festival, which allows the quality and the free performance. The storytellers will perform on sixteen stages to tell us funny, tender, sometimes sad or cruel stories.

This scenic artistic movement revisits the art of storytelling, revives oral tradition, and gives life to our intercultural heritage. Cévennes storyteller Alain Vidal opened the ball by offering us his show “Flowers full of hair” which traces the life of a Cévennes village since the post-war period. He testifies to his peasant roots, agro-industry, globalization, neorurality and hippies, to come back to reason with a reasoned agriculture. The tone is right, funny, sometimes dreamlike.
