He died on Sunday October 31, 2021 at the Toulouse-Purpan hospital center. Emmanuel Cueffformer CA of 17e RGP, had been struck by one or more people on the night of October 29 to 30, in the parking lot of a restaurant in Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne). His companion had also been beaten.
A week after the tragedy, the prosecution announced the opening of a judicial investigation against X for “deliberate violence in a meeting that resulted in death without the intention of giving it” and “deliberate violence in a meeting that resulted in an ITT of less than 8 days “.
The reason for the brawl still unclear
According to The Midi Dispatchthe investigation, led by the territorial direction of the judicial police of Toulouse and the police station of Montauban, will focus on the identification of the perpetrator(s) of the fatal blows in order to understand the origin of this violent brawl which occurred at the exit of a restaurant in the city of Ingres.
No arrests have taken place at this time. Nevertheless, Laurent Czernik, the public prosecutor of Montauban, indicates to our colleagues that “the investigations are progressing and continuing in a new framework, that of the instruction, which will give more means of investigation to justice”.
The funeral of this former soldier will take place on Wednesday November 10 in Montauban.
