After a series of interesting but lost matches, the Sapiacaines finally opened their victory counter against the Lotoises this Sunday.
At the end of the derby against the Suricates of the Valence d’Agen agreement, Castelsarrasin, Moissac, lost two weeks ago (0-15), the staff Audrey Galthié, Samuel Alix and the manager Jean-David Fauché did not was in no way disappointed with this new defeat and declared hotly that “The season starts today and we know that we can do good things:”. For a good thirty minutes the Puy-l’Évêquoises show themselves to be superior in terms of the occupation of the field without however materializing. Letting the storm pass, the Montalbanaises fought back in the last ten minutes of the first act and on a penalty quickly played by scrum-half Camille Ginesty, the latter played Antoine Dupont to deceive everyone and score in the middle of the posts (7-0).

In the second half neither of the two teams really took over, the visitors were however rewarded for their efforts with a try near the line from the 3rd row Rachel Convers (7-5, 54th). Sensing the danger, the Sapiacaines give themselves some air thanks to a penalty from Oriane Courtois (10-5, 60th). The score will remain there for the greatest pleasure of the players of the referent Emmanuelle Teulières, who could let their joy burst for a perfectly deserved first victory against an opponent who did not give up until the end.
And now. The Unionists will only return to competition on January 16 for the first day of the return matches and the reception of Toulouse Cheminots Marengo at Ramiérou. Beaten 86-5 in the first leg, there will therefore be revenge in the air for the greens and blacks and above all a certain disillusion to be erased.
