The Montargis agglomeration hospital center (CHAM, Loiret) announced that it had restarted the bench plan on Wednesday. On that day, 36 Covid-19 positive patients were hospitalized in the establishment, including eight in intensive care.
Health professionals are particularly worried about the observed increase. The number of Covid-19 patients treated has doubled in ten days.
“Prepare for an exceptional health crisis”
The Orleans hospital (Loiret) had also reactivated the white plan on December 7, indicates
France Blue Orleans. The CHAM took a similar decision in reaction to “the rise of the epidemic in the Loiret, more particularly in the east of the department”, specified the establishment in a press release. It thus intends to “prepare for an exceptional health crisis, by mobilizing all available resources internally”.
The white plan may in particular lead to increased staffing for the care of patients infected with the coronavirus or the cancellation of non-urgent interventions. However, CHAM does not plan to transfer some of its patients to other hospitals for the moment.
