The previously undefeated junior welterweight of Eddie Hearn’s boxing team enjoys his first televised main fight when he faces Australian Steve Spark at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Love’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio this Saturday. Love and Spark both weighed 150 pounds each at yesterday’s official weigh-in, at the junior welterweight limit, for their scheduled 12-round U.S. regional title bout. The match will be broadcast live on DAZN from Saturday evening to Sunday morning.
Previously unbeaten (18-0-1, 9 KOs) Montana Love earned a seventh-round knockout victory over former IBF world champion Ivan Baranchyk in his previous home appearance of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers. The fight took place on August 29 on the undercard of Jake Paul against Tyron Woodley, after which Love signed an exclusive promoter deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.
