MONTAIGU- Guinea will take part in the prestigious Mondial Football Montaigu from April 2 to 10, 2023 in France. The technical staff who will lead the U-16 selection is composed. Montaigui once again welcomes the best nuggets in the world. As every year, the tournament will take place with several nations which have already confirmed their presence. Guinea will present a team of young people evolving exclusively in Europe.
Guinea, which will also take part in the 2023 edition, will be led by Abdoulaye Barry. Holder of a UEFA Football Coaching Certificate issued by the French Football Federation in 2015, the Guinean technician has led in his coaching career, several teams of lower categories of FC Montaigu.
Champion of France in 1999 with the U15s of the Girondins de Bordeaux, Abdoulaye Barry was also selected by Guinea as a hopeful team in 2004. In the U-16 staff for the Montaigu tournament, Abdoulaye Barry will be assisted by Ousmane Kaba and Moussa Bah. The Team Manager of the team is Alhassane Sampou. Former Guinean international Fodé Mansaré is the manager of the team. The team doctor is Bruno Da Cruz. Guinea is housed in Group A along with France, Denmark and Saudi Arabia.
The Mondial Football Montaigu is a tournament which brings together young people under the age of 16. It has seen the passage of many young players who have become big stars and even legends of football today, such as Cristiano Ronaldo (2001), Karim Benzema (2004), Paul Pogba (2009), Kylian Mbappe (2014) or even Vinicius Junior ( 2015). It celebrates its fiftieth anniversary this year and will see the participation of 30 teams.
