My wife had a very difficult time with me… When she came to live in Thailand with me, she was not ready for such a lifestyle. Before that, she was still with her parents, where she lacked nothing. She had money, food, etc. She did not expect it to be so difficult. We had to find a few cents every day to buy a chicken, potatoes and survive.
The new generation of women is not ready to suffer like this. I am ashamed to tell this, but sometimes my wife would go and buy ice cream and coffee… I had to limit her purchases because she did not understand the situation, she must have just thought I was stingy. I had to explain to her that we would survive longer with something other than ice cream and coffee. After these ordeals, she became a different person.
Now a UFC star and soon to be a movie star, Sharaputdin Magomedov and his wife can indulge themselves, buy ice cream and coffee whenever they want. But when he started out in Thailand, that wasn’t the case. That’s when the fighter made a blunt observation about today’s women: they wouldn’t be ready to go through the same struggles as before.
Before he found fame and the spotlight of the UFC, Sharaputdin Magomedov experienced hardship on the streets of Thailand. Fortunately, he was supported by a woman who is still by his side today. They have strengthened each other through difficulty.
