What once started as a Nintendo Switch exclusive will soon also be playable on PC. This is about the monster game from Capcom Monster Hunter Rise. With the PC release imminent (January 12, 2022), the Japanese company may come with bad news.
Not deployable in Monster Hunter Rise
The PC version of Monster Hunter Rise will not contain a cross-save. This means that your progression on the Nintendo Switch cannot be transferred to the PC variant. Also the cross-play part will not be present when the game is released early next year. Capcom made the announcement via the official Monster Hunter Twitter channel. It’s a feature that’s very popular among fans; so they let you know. During the development process, the possibilities of cross-save and cross-play were examined. However, it is not feasible at this time to implement these features, according to Capcom. Whether this can and will actually happen at a later time has not yet been announced.
We’ve heard your requests for Cross-Save / Cross-Play for #MHRise & #Sunbreak, but unfortunately, after looking into it throughout the development process, we found we are unable to implement it this time. As always, we appreciate your continued feedback and support.

Monster Hunt
Monster Hunter Rise has been available for Nintendo Switch since last March. It is an action-adventure game in which you as a player hunt for different monsters. At the time of release, Daan and Jelle started working on this title. Their findings are here to look back. Is it a shame that cross-save and cross-play didn’t make it into the game? We are curious about your opinion. Be sure to leave it in the comments.
