MK84S low noise red mechanical keyboard
Hello. This is Ulysses SS.
The product we are introducing today is the Monsta Gear MK84S Daltokki Jeokchuk Mechanical Keyboard.
The main points of this keyboard seem to be that it is a slim, wired and wireless keyboard, red and small keyboard. I think it is good for office use.
Although the 84 keys are a bit difficult to get used to, it could be another option if you are looking for a quiet keyboard in the office.
■ Package & Components
This is the Monster Gear MK84S mechanical keyboard.
In addition to the brightly colored packaging, the contents include a keyboard, manual and cable.
The photo was taken because the cable was missing.
■ Design & Features
This is Monster Gear’s Moon Rabbit Edition mechanical keyboard.
It has a cute design with multiple colors on the keys. It is sublimated with color and raw keys are used.
The Windows key, , and Enter keys have cute rabbits.
The 84-key arrangement eliminates the need for special keys such as Scrlk and Pause, and the keyboard is filled with keycaps so that it can be used strictly.
There are three connection methods available: wireless / wireless / Bluetooth, and unfortunately, there is only one color: white.
It weighs around 514g, which is close to 500g.
The point of the Monster Gear MK84S mechanical keyboard seems so thin, but it is very thin at about 22mm.
That’s why low-profile switches and keyboards are used, and since it has a 1900mAh battery inside, I think it’s a very portable keyboard.
It works.
There are two options at the top, Windows and Mac, and there is a button to select 2.4Ghz, wired, and Bluetooth, and on the other side there is a USB-C type power port.
There is no mode selection button on the back of the keyboard, so you can change the mode easily.
Being very portable, the wireless dongle is also easy to store. It is made of magnets, so if you put it in the storage area, the circuit will not come out unless you shake it strongly.
If you move around a lot, it might be okay to secure it with tape.
Although it is small in size, it can be adjusted in two levels of height. Height adjustment is also done with magnets, so you can easily change the height.
The most important switch on the keyboard is the red low profile Otemu switch.
Since the height is low, I used a low profile. Unfortunately, it seems difficult to replace the axis because it is soldered rather than hot-swappable.
The stabilizer is lubricated.
I was previously using a tenkeyless keyboard, and it was a little smaller than that keyboard. In tenkeyless, it feels like the main special area is missing, making it smaller.
It is size. The size seems perfect for use with a laptop.
■ key
Here is a video of Monster Gear’s MK84S Moon Rabbit Red Axis mechanical keyboard.
I filmed the keystroke video using the K66S-C microphone and the two A6000 camera microphones alternately.
Since the red axis is used in low profile, the fun of typing is a little less.
Besides the advantage of being able to write quietly, the main pressure was low, so I was able to write with less fatigue on my hands.
Because the red axis lower file switch is used, it can be pressed lightly with minimal force.
A spring noise occurred in a certain switch, but when checked, they said it was not a defect because the noise was generated from a keyboard using a light housing and low switches.
Pay attention.
■ Complete review
This is the Monster Gear MK84S mechanical keyboard.
It’s a keyboard with very nice keycaps based on the Dalkki concept, and since it only has 84 keys, it has a smaller keyboard size than conventional full-key, tenkeyless keyboards.
It has become more portable and supports both wired and wireless, so it would be a good alternative if you are looking for a keyboard that is light, mechanical, and supports for both wired and wireless.
As for the typing feel, due to the nature of the bottom switch, the feeling may be a little less than that of a normal mechanical switch, which may be disappointing for those who want to feel the feeling of typing -typical mechanical keyboard typing. . I don’t think it’s a bad thing because you can feel a bit of the emotion on red flags along with portability. With a unique feel and low noise
The sound is good enough for office use. It was tamed and there was little touch.
It is a little disappointing that some switches make a springy sound. It can be a concern for those with sensitive skin.
Other than that, I think it’s a keyboard that captures the feel of a mechanical keyboard very well while being portable.
