KOMPAS.com – The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) said that as of Friday (3/11/2023), the number of patients with monkey pox cases in Indonesia was 36 people.
“There are 36 cases,” said Head of the Ministry of Health’s Communications and Public Services Bureau, Siti Nadia Tarmizi when contacted Kompas.comFriday (3/11/2023).
He said, of this number, 33 patients are currently still isolated, while 3 others have recovered.
He further explained that most of the monkey pox patients were cases that occurred in Jakarta.
Meanwhile in other areas, namely spread across West Java and Banten.
Case in Jakarta
Head of the Surveillance, Epidemiology and Immunization Section (Dinkes) of the DKI Jakarta Health Service, Ngabila Salama, when contacted separately, said that the total number of cases of monkey pox in DKI Jakarta was 28 people as of Friday (3/11/2023).
“The total number of positive cases is 28 people,” said Ngabila, Friday.
Of this number, 1 patient has been declared cured, namely 1 case which occurred in August 2022.
The number of active cases of monkey pox in Jakarta currently stands at 27 people positivity rate PCR 29 percent.
“All had mild symptoms, all were infected from sexual contact, all men aged 25-50 years,” he said.

He added that there are 8 suspected or suspected cases of monkeypox.
Meanwhile, the number of people who have been tested and declared negative is 67 people.
Regarding the number of recipients of the monkeypox vaccine, according to him so far a total of 495 people have received the vaccination.
