“Monkey” clothes and shoes were confiscated at a flea market in Limassol

More than 1,400 items of clothing, footwear and other items, which appear to be imitations, were confiscated on Sunday from a flea market in Limassol.

As stated in a Police announcement, the confiscated items were found during checks by members of the Office for Combating Crimes of Intellectual Property Theft and Illegal Betting of the Electronic Crime Sub-Directorate and members of the Limassol OPE and the Customs Department.

During the checks, at three points of sale, more than 1,400 pieces of various clothing, footwear and other items were identified and confiscated, since according to a preliminary check by the officials of the Customs Department, these appear to be imitations in violation of the relevant legislation .

The Limassol Customs Department continues the examinations.
