Monitoring Eril’s Search in Switzerland, Ridwan Kamil Requests Extended Leave

Jakarta

Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil applied for an extension of his leave for a week so he could be in Switzerland to monitor the search for his son, Emmeril Khan Mumtadz (Eril), who went missing in the Aare River. Information regarding this was conveyed directly by the Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum.

“The governor will add another week’s leave for the next week to be in Switzerland, so that if he is in the incident area waiting for him is a bit calmer, it’s different when he comes home,” said Uu as reported by Reuters. BetweenSunday (29/5/2022).

Uu hopes that the residents of West Java will understand and not question the extension of the leave proposed by Ridwan Kamil. The law ensures that the wheels of government in West Java will continue to run.

“I ask for public understanding, if the Governor is still abroad, it will not be a problem regarding performance, because in the province there are officials. I am the Plh. After all, I communicate with the Governor without any problems,” said Uu.

As of this morning, Uu has also not received any new information regarding the progress of the search for Eril.

“Still like yesterday. I can’t answer yet because I update yesterday,” he said.

Besides, Uu said Ridwan Kamil expects prayers from residents and religious leaders for the safety of his first child.

“I WhatsApp him yesterday. He asked for prayers from the people of West Java, especially the kiai and students,” said Uu.
