Monitoring and Arrests: Nazaha’s Efforts Against Corruption in Government Institutions

Over the past few months, the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority “Nazaha” has put a lot of effort into monitoring the behavior of institutions and individuals, in the framework of addressing corruption and ensuring the integrity of practices within government institutions.

“Nazaha” announced that it conducted “2442” monitoring rounds during the month of Muharram 1445 AH, which reflects the size of the effort exerted by the authority to ensure the integrity of administrative and financial practices in various government sectors.

Among these suspects, “260” individuals were investigated, who belong to ministries such as: Defense, Health, Interior, Municipal and Rural Affairs, Education and Housing.

Arresting suspects and completing legal procedures

It is not easy to investigate charges such as bribery, money laundering, forgery, and abuse of power, but the Nazaha Commission did not hesitate. It managed to arrest 107 accused. Some of them have been released on bail, while others are still under guard pending the completion of the legal procedures.

In this context, the authority stresses the importance of the role of citizens in protecting public money and participating in the fight against corruption. Therefore, Nazaha urges everyone to report any suspicions of financial or administrative corruption.
