Monique Westenberg is criticized after an emo moment: ‘Businesswoman!’

Monique Westenberg once again gets a big kick for her choosing from Story boss Guido den Aantrekker. He thinks she is very clever in choosing her moment to get emotional.

Just like Patty Brard, Monique Westenberg now also has a whole line with all kinds of knick-knacks at Kruidvat. She threw a private party yesterday to celebrate the launch and she posted a short report on Instagram. André Hazes Jr.’s (ex-) girlfriend gives a long speech, at which point she also becomes a bit emotional.

Monique emotional

When Monique points out that it is December 12, 12/12, she can’t stand it anymore. Exactly on that date last year, she was taken on a free hysterical way proposed in marriage by André. No sooner had Monique said yes than André was already having fun with Sarah van Soelen.

The forgiving Monique now: “12/12 is a very special day for me, in several ways. I’m going to cry… No, because 12/12 is always a beautiful day for me, you know. I really had one of the best days of my life last year on 12/12. And, my girl Dunya (a dog, ed.), it’s her birthday, so I’m grateful for that.”

Handy PR moment

Monique is apparently very busy every year on December 12th. “And then today this is extra beautiful again, so 12/12 is always a day for me with love, a smile and nice and so I see that positively.”

That emo moment of Monique has made it to all the show media and that is not a bad thing, because she has all those Kruidvat knick knacks to promote. Very clever, Guido den Aantrekker thinks it. Like Rachel Hazes, he is completely annoyed by Monique. They only have to appear on the screen for a moment or their neck hairs jump up.

Guido critical

Story boss Guido could not resist in Shownieuws yesterday to hand out a small sneer to Monique. “Yes, just to be clear, she’s talking about ‘her girl’, but we’re talking about a dog, Dunya, who passed away in 2018. She has been with Monique for fourteen years.”

Dan: “Well, Monique always knows how to choose the right moment to be sad about it, because today she presented her new collection at a large retail company.”

Authentic

Guido thus accuses Monique of using her emotions for publicity gain. “She’s doing well, she’s becoming a bit of a businesswoman.”

Are those tears just fake? No, Guido doesn’t think that either. “It is absolutely authentic that she is very sad about Dunya, because she has always been very fond of animals. We know that and she does it well.”

Monique’s emo moment starts about the first minute:
