Monika Farská (Anna Fixová) is a prominent and very controversial figure in Ulica. In the series, viewers saw her from the very beginning, since 2005. She was growing up and searching for herself right before their eyes. Depending on what she was going through, they either cheered for her or couldn’t think of a name for her. The truth is that he is one of those Street characters who were never far from trouble. She couldn’t find a boyfriend for a long time, for example she fell in love with her professor at the gymnasium, with whom she finally got together years later. It was he who first took her on a charity mission to Africa, to Uganda. At that time, the immature Monika did not stop and returned home quite shaken.
After various vicissitudes, Monika then started dating Mara (Kryštof Rímský), who packed it for quite a long time. Although at first it seemed that the two were finally anchored in love, fate separated them again. Monika first looked into another, then another blow came in the form of different life priorities. The elder Mára wanted to settle down, start a family with Monika, but she felt that her place was somewhere else than in the home and with the children. She went to Africa again, this time only with Mára for a vacation of several weeks. During it, she met people who tried to help the local residents. She was so impressed that upon her return she organized a fundraiser for them and flew to Africa again. Then it went from time to time. Although the chemistry between her and Mara worked until the end, their paths diverged. Már’s mother Věrka (Milena Steinmasslová) also helped. She never had much to do with Monika, and she longed for grandchildren.
Monika and Mára broke up, everyone started to live their own lives. They last saw each other six years ago, then we only heard about Monica when her mom Jitka (Ilona Svobodová) mentioned her. While Monika fully engaged in charity projects, Mára fulfilled his dream of family and children. However, he took the latter as his own when Karla (Markéta Stehlíková) confessed to his infidelity. Mára cannot forgive her for this betrayal, even though they tried together to save the marriage. Now they are divorcing and Mára is kind of returning to her old lifestyle. He has friends with benefits, but he is not looking for another serious relationship.
And it is in this state of mind that Mára happens to meet Monika, who is just returning from Africa to start other projects and collections here. For Mara, it’s like a bolt from the blue. He can keep his eyes on Monica, admires her spark, energy, vigor, maturity, beauty, well-being. Monika also likes to see him very much. They have a lot to say to each other, right from the first moments they are drawn to each other… How strong is the bond between them? How much of the chemistry that brought them together still works between them? And how will Věrka, who also happens to meet her by chance, react to Monika’s return? What will the second meeting with Monika make Mára do? Things take a serious turn for Mára again, without him or Monika planning it…
