Money for the children – points for Dorfbach? Leader plays for a good cause in derby against Unteriglbach

In such a bitter way, DJK-SV Dorfbach had to throw in the towel on the last matchday of the 2023/24 Pocking district league, the title that was within reach and the runner-up spot were “down the drain”. The Pfefferkorn/Kölbl team has obviously recovered well and is leading the table after two rounds of the new season thanks to two clear victories.

Most recently, newcomer Ortenburg was beaten 4-0, and today, Saturday, the next derby takes place against Unteriglbach. And the bottom line is that, in addition to the points, a lot of money should also be made. “We are once again organizing a derby for a good cause,” says board member Roland Winklhofer. “All entrance fees from this hit will be donated to the Holzland children’s charity.” Accordingly, they hope to have a great crowd.

“The FCU is under a bit of pressure and Dorfbach wants to move up with another win,” the SV club boss knows the importance of this and says: “It’s anything but a sure thing!” Especially since, according to Winklhofer, the hosts have injured players. “Nevertheless, we are looking forward to a great game, lots of spectators and lots of donations.”

Together with Dorfbach, Haarbach also has a team without a loss, but because they have not played a game, they will probably have to watch as one of the other undefeated teams overtakes them; that could be newly promoted Rotthalmünster, who are, however, in danger of being put under pressure by hosts Walchsing. That could be FC Aunkirchen, who are facing a stumbling and therefore all the more determined runner-up SG Hartkirchen/Pocking. And that could be Egglham, who are hoping to get the full result against SG Gergweis.

Like “Iglbach”, Ortenburg and relegated teams Alkofen and Kößlarn are also completely empty-handed. Something will change for the latter in their direct duel. Ortenburgers, on the other hand, are in danger of another scoreless draw in their home duel with FC Fürstenzell, who are in good form this year.

3rd matchday, Saturday, 3 p.m.: Egglham – SG Gergweis/Pörndorf, Dorfbach – Unteriglbach, Alkofen – Kößlarn; Sunday, 1 p.m.: Aunkirchen – SG Hartkirchen/Pocking, Ortenburg – Fürstenzell, Walchsing – Rotthalmünster; no game: Haarbach.
