In the new year the Integrated Rural Development (ILE) “Franconian Switzerland Active” supports small projects from the region with a total of 100,000 euros. This is made possible by the “Regional Budget” funding program, which was implemented very successfully last year. Associations, private individuals, companies, parishes and churches can apply for funding for their project.
“The interest in the 2020 regional budget was overwhelming. We received significantly more applications than we had initially expected. Ultimately, we were able to financially support 19 project sponsors with their projects,” reports ILE chairwoman Christiane Meyer. Marco Trautner (FW), Mayor of the Wiesenttal market, is also enthusiastic about the funding program according to the press release of the ILE: “It is admirable how much voluntary work has been done with the support of the regional budget. I am particularly pleased to see that many of the projects supported implemented in cooperation with local companies. The money with which the ILE supports associations also benefits our economy. ”
To be eligible for funding, a project must meet the following criteria: It must be in one of the ILE municipalities, it must not cost more than 20,000 euros net, it must not have started by the time it is appointed and must be completed by the end of September.
For everything else, the alliance manager of the ILE, Nadine Zettlmeißl, helps. She explains: “Last year, with the help of the regional budget, we sponsored playgrounds, community gardens and renovation work on club houses, among other things. There were also extraordinary projects such as the acquisition of a remote-controlled telescope for the observatory or the construction of a mobile kitchen cart for club parties. Anyone with an idea for has a project, it is best to discuss it with us in advance. “
The application itself is easy to fill out. A brief description of the project and, if possible, a cost offer is required. Applications can be submitted to the ILE in digital form from now until February 28, email to [email protected]. The 100,000 euros regional budget consists of 90,000 euros from the Office for Rural Development and 10,000 euros from the member municipalities of the ILE. Projects can be funded with up to 80 percent of the net costs. The maximum amount per project is 10,000 euros. red
